Winter 2022/23 was a very difficult year for the Deer.  Wyoming had the harshest winter in over forty years.  This year, the population of deer and pronghorn are decimated.  Add the Chronic Wasting Disease running rampant through the herds, and you have a 90% of the population loss.

Last year, we had a large herd with a big, beautiful buck that would visit our property. This summer, I have yet to see the herd or our large buck.  I hope that they are still higher up, but I worry.  We did have a set of twin fawns that hang out here on our acres.  Nicknamed the wonder twins, for the miracle that they truly are.
